Why I chose endurance sport to find out who I am

Endurance sport as an honest mirror: fewer places to hide, clearer feedback, and a deliberate way to practise becoming more capable.

The mirror shows what is currently there. It does not decide what you can become.

The essays explore what endurance sport teaches me. The training log documents the sessions, decisions, mistakes and adjustments that create those lessons.

ABOUT THE PERSON BEHIND THE NOTES

I’m Peter.
PEHOJA is my record of becoming.

I am an economist with a background in finance, an endurance athlete and a person shaped by living abroad. Those experiences share one question: how do our repeated decisions determine who we become?

Sport is where I test the answer. This publication follows the process while it is still happening.

AUD RAISED THROUGH PEHOJA2,240+FOR MEN’S HEALTH

I chose to run the Chicago Marathon for Movember because strength should include the courage to speak honestly, look after ourselves and ask for help.

This is the beginning of a visible record of money raised for causes through the PEHOJA journey.
